God conquers through his Church, and this victory is won through martyrdom. Through their willingness to be martyrs, Yahweh conquers his enemies. We see them characterized as conquerors because of their faith in the face of death. "The oftener we are mown down by you, the more in number we grow; the blood of Christians is seed." (Tertullian). We, as believers in Jesus Christ, should stand on the truth of the Word of God, while reaching out to others with the love and compassion of Christ. - Kenute P. Curry
