Sermon: “One King Over All”

Author: Will Helton

Scripture declares: “The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and His name the only name.”

Right now, the world feels divided—nations against nations, people against people, hearts fractured by fear, pride, and pain. We build walls, both physical and invisible. We cling to identities, opinions, and struggles that separate us.

But God has already declared the end of the story.

There is a day coming when every wall falls.

A day when darkness is pushed back by a greater light.

A day when every nation, tribe, and language will stand together—not in conflict, but in worship.

Not many names. Not many kings.

One Lord. One Name. One Kingdom.

The images you’ve been creating show this truth beautifully:

* Christ reigning above all the earth

* One radiant name shining across the heavens

* Barriers breaking and people walking toward unity

* Darkness giving way to a global dawn

* A multitude worshiping together as one

This is not just a future prophecy—it’s an invitation right now.

God isn’t waiting to bring unity someday—He calls us to live it today.

Every time you choose love over hate…

Every time you forgive instead of hold bitterness…

Every time you lift your eyes above this broken world and fix them on Him…

You are stepping into that coming Kingdom.

The question is not “Will He reign?”

That is already settled.

The question is:

Will we bow now… or later?

Because one day, every knee will bow.

Every voice will confess.

Every heart will recognize that He alone is King.

And on that day, fear will be gone.

Division will be healed.

And His name will fill everything—like light fills the sky.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in awe of who You are—

The King over all the earth, the One true God, the name above every name.

Lord, in a world filled with division, confusion, and darkness,

Lift our eyes to see Your truth.

Remind us that You are still on the throne.

Break down the walls within us—

Pride, bitterness, fear, and anything that keeps us from walking in unity and love.

Teach us to live now in the reality of Your Kingdom.

Help us to reflect Your light in a dark world,

To love people from every background, every nation, every story—just as You do.

Jesus, we surrender to You.

Not just with our words, but with our lives.

Be King in our hearts.

Be Lord over our choices.

Be the name we lift above everything else.

And we look forward to that day—

When all creation will worship You as one,

When peace will replace fear,

And Your glory will fill the earth.

Until that day, use us.

In Your mighty and holy name,

Amen.
