Who is our sacrifice being made to?

Leviticus 17:7
(7) And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.

The first thing you would say is “Well I don’t offer my sacrifices unto devils!” and “I don’t go a whoring after them!”. Well, the “sacrifices unto devils” of today are a lot different then back in the scripture time.

Back in the Old Testament times the sacrifices unto devils were Idol worship, child sacrifice and other things. Today sacrifices unto devils could be putting worldly possessions before Yahwah! The scriptures give us clear warnings both in the Old and New Testament about Idol worship. (See: Exodus 20:3-6, 1 Chronicles 16:26, 1 Corinthians 6:9, 1 Corinthians 10:14, 2 Corinthians 6:16)

Finally, let’s look at the warning in 1 Corinthians 10:19-21…

1 Corinthians 10:19-21
(19) What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing? (20) But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to Elohim: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. (21) Ye cannot drink the cup of YHWH, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of Yahwah's table, and of the table of devils.

Yahwah help us to examine ourselves for any Idol worship in our lives and to get rid of it.
