This Week's Prayer Guide
April 26 - This week, pray for personal requests from pastors in Xiangtan, for their families and their churches. Pray for God to be with their family and church relationships.
April 27 - Please pray that the lives of the church leaders can continue to be renewed and built up in Christ. One brother shared that "If [our] lives are not united to Christ, there will be no fruit in shepherding."
April 28 - Pastor G asked for prayer for healing among churches. "Because there have been wounds in the past, everyone needs to let go of those old injuries and put away this going-our-own-way spirit and our self-righteousness, so that the churches can be united and stand together."
April 29 - Several leaders are aiming to be more effective in bearing witness for Christ to their extended families. One brother shared, "Even if we cannot gather publicly, the relatives and friends around us can still see our lives." Pray that these church leaders can live out the Gospel in their lives so that they can have more influence on extended families and their friends.

"Right now the state forbids children under eighteen from having religious life, and these children in public schools spend most of their time receiving education in evolution. Young people can even feel tension between evolution and their parents’ faith, and under postmodern influence they also do not believe in absolute truth." Please pray that God will teach his little children his truth, and strengthen the hands of workers who labor in youth and family ministries.

One pastor asked, "Please pray that as [we] study God’s word and take part in theological training, [we] would be rooted more deeply in the true faith and receive more blessing in shepherding others."
May 2 - One sister in her sixties asks for prayer for her family, "I am already older now, to shepherd brothers and sisters in the church now is physically exhausting at times, and the pressure is very great… Over the past two years I have been especially burdened for my two sons. After they got married and had their own families and work pressures, they have not come for a long time now." Please pray that God will strengthen the body of this sister and grant her good health, and may her two sons return to the faith of their parents.
