As Christians, we believe that Jesus Christ is our peace—“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you” (John 14:27). Because of that, we approach His name with reverence based on what we understand from Scripture. At the same time, people of different faiths have their own traditions of showing respect. It’s important that we hold firmly to our beliefs while still speaking with grace and respect toward others.
