If God Seems Distant.

Christians who rarely go to church, neglect daily devotions, and hardly ever pray need to reexamine their view of God. Because when you see God as this stern being way up in the heavens somewhere, keeping track of all your sins, it doesn’t make you long to be close with Him, and in fact, it becomes easier and easier to hit the snooze button rather than spend time in worship and praise. The truth is that when you lose sight of who God really is, your desire to spend time with Him diminishes greatly - and in fact, you run from Him. But when you truly understand what an awesome, loving, generous God He is, who loves you so much that He can’t imagine heaven without you, it changes everything! You not only make time, but you crave even more time in His presence. Knowing God as a loving heavenly Father, who is honest, trustworthy, and has your back 100% of the time, makes all the difference in your relationship with Him. So if God seems distant, examine just who He is, and you can’t help but fall in love with Him. It will change your relationship from serving out of obligation to worshiping Him with a deep desire to draw even closer to your Lord and Savior!
