It’s Never Hopeless.

It’s easy to see the faults in others and make judgment calls about how or why they messed up, but it’s much more difficult to identify your own shortcomings. Perhaps by concentrating on the failures of others, you’re hoping that your own mistakes aren’t so obvious. But if you are always looking for the weakness in other people, it will keep you from overcoming your own failures. You see, God allows you to make your own choices, but when you leave God out of the decision-making, you’ll get into trouble every time. However, blaming others or focusing on their mistakes is not the answer. The Bible says in Luke 6:37, “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” When you make a mistake or things didn’t work out quite right, instead of feeling anger, frustration, or shame, approach it as a learning experience. You now know what didn’t work, and you can move closer to what will work. And there’s no need to worry about what other people are thinking of you or how embarrassing it is, for no matter how publicly humiliating it might be, it’s never hopeless! God can fix every problem you have! Just give your failures to Him, admit defeat, and take responsibility for your part. When you humble yourself before God, it is always a place of victory! Text: Isaiah 40:31, James 4:10, Psalm 25:9, Matthew 7:5
