*As It Was in the Beginning*
Matthew 19:4-6 (NASB) > [4] And He answered and said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, [5] and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? [6] So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”
Have you ever felt uncomfortable with what the Word of God tells you?
1. The Word of God (the Bible) is the book of life—an instruction manual that comes directly from God to us. Imagine the incredible advantage we have! Years of sacred writing right at our fingertips.
2. The Word of God can be read, but it is most often transmitted by servants of God who desire for your soul and mine to be saved, so they are not lost when the first death (the physical one) arrives.
3. The truth that the Word conveys to us requires change: letting go of bad habits, shifts in mindset, distancing ourselves from toxic influences, and embracing humility, among others.
4. Remember that our Father loves us so much that He instructs us correctly for the sake of our transformation and blessing.
5. The blessings are there; God promises them in His Word. However, my willingness to change determines the unlocking of those blessings. Remember, God is not a "genie in a bottle" who must fulfill our every whim.
Whenever you receive the Word, no matter how much it may make you uncomfortable, remember that our Father loves us and always desires blessing and well-being for you.
What are you willing to change for God?
God bless you.
