Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.
Yesterday turned into a very full day. What was supposed to be a simple visit to the primary resulted in blood work and two scans, only to get all the way home, get on the mower, then have the doctor’s office call and tell us that we needed to get back to the hospital for another kind of scan to rule out blood clots. Seeing that we have played in this arena once in his life, we beat all odds of rush hour traffic to get to the hospital. Haha. Good news, no clots.
Got back home and finished mowing. For the last few years, we have paid someone to mow for us; however, we had a bit of a disagreement, and he politely declined to continue. So, now we borrow a mower (since I don’t own one at the moment) and will do it ourselves. Our friend’s mower is a much smoother ride than the one we used to own. After mowing nearly three acres last night, I told my husband that I was sold…haha. We need one like this. The yard looks good, and the right was smooth.
When I finished the back part of the property, I smiled at the beauty that God showed me for the day. Not only in my well-cut yard, but also in the diligence of our doctor to search inside the crevices of possibilities of what could be going on now with my husband and making sure that she did not miss anything. To the hospital staff who were professional and understanding of our circumstance. To even the test results themselves. God showed himself to us in so many ways today.
More blessings from yesterday…my stickers for ministry came in. Notice that two boxes of books will be here today. My new shirts are ready to be picked up. With any kind of luck, I will get another notice that the tablecloth will be ready before I leave town today. I received notice that the donation of buns was approved for the fundraiser that I am helping organize. Blessing on top of blessings. Yesterday was a wonderful day.
If you were to look at your yesterday, would you only see the dark and frustrating times or would you see the lightened blessed times? I could look at yesterday with … why didn’t they do all the tests at the same time; don’t they know what gas prices are…or the argument that my husband and I had over the wishing well piece in our front yard, or the swing … or the temperature taking a hard left and by the time I got inside I was cold to the bone….just to name a few uglies….BUT…BUT…I choose to see all the previous items of Light… because those are what formed my day in His image. Those are the items I truly lived in fullness of. Those are the wonders that He gave me to enjoy.
Take a look at your day and give only time to the Light; the dark may be there, but do not give it air…seek only the Light.
Be blessed.
