Thanksgiving and Prayer

Philippians 1:3-11

I thank God in my remembrance,
Of you always in every prayer;
With my prayer of joyous advance,
Through all the good times that we share.

For partnership in the Gospel,
From the first day up until now;
The news you bring to the people,
That always is showing them how.

God has begun good work in you,
Bringing completion at the day;
Of Christ Jesus who will pursue,
His blessings come upon your way.

It is right for me to think of you,
Feelings this way within my heart;
Partakers of grace that I construe,
Confirmation that I impart.

Because God has been my witness,
Both imprisonment and defense;
Yearning for spiritual fitness,
Affection for Christ so immense.

I pray that your love may abound,
With knowledge and all discernment;
Approve excellence to astound,
In conducting through your judgment.

Be sincere for the day of Christ,
Filled with the fruit of righteousness;
Pure and blameless and not enticed.
Praising of God through graciousness.
