The time has come for me to softly pray.
Though my thoughts try to distract my focus.
Reminding me of unimportant things.

Just as annoying as an itchy nose.
And demanding to be dealt with or else.
The time has come for me to softly pray

Now my face is creased with concentration.
I'm determined to pray to my Saviour.
Though my thoughts try to distract my focus.

This, my constant struggle for self control.
I will hold my Bible close as it keeps,
Reminding me of unimportant things.
