Good morning.....
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” — 1 Corinthians 1:18
Message:
In 1 Corinthians 1, Paul reminds the church who they are and what truly matters. The people were divided, arguing about leaders, opinions, and status. But Paul brings them back to one truth: it’s all about Jesus.
The world may not understand the cross. It doesn’t look powerful. It doesn’t look wise. But in God’s Kingdom, the cross is everything, it’s where salvation, grace, and victory were won.
God doesn’t choose people based on status, intelligence, or strength. He calls the ordinary, the broken, and the overlooked, so that His power can be seen clearly through us.
Teaching:
You are called by God - not by accident, but with purpose.
Your identity is not in people, titles, or opinions - but in Christ.
The cross is not weakness - it is the power of God at work in you.
Reflection:
Are you focused on people, or are you focused on Christ?
Are you relying on your own strength, or on the power of the cross?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for calling me and setting me apart. Help me not to get distracted by the opinions of people or the wisdom of this world. Teach me to stay rooted in the power of the cross and to live a life that points back to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Stay grounded. Stay humble. Stay focused on Jesus.
