All Belongs to the Lord
Scripture
Leviticus 27:30 (NKJV)
And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s. It is holy to the Lord.
Dedicated to God
In this verse, God reminds His people that a tenth of everything from the land—every harvest, every fruit—belongs to Him. The tithe was not just a religious duty but an act of worship. It acknowledged that all blessings came from God and that He was the true owner of everything. Giving back a portion was a tangible expression of gratitude and trust.
For believers today, this principle still speaks powerfully. Everything we have—our time, resources, and talents—belongs to God. Giving to Him is not losing but returning what is already His. When we dedicate what we have to the Lord, we declare that He is our source and that we trust Him to provide.
This verse calls us to live with open hands and devoted hearts, honoring God with all that we are and all that we have.
Reflection Questions
1. Do I view what I have as my own or as belonging to God?
2. How can I honor the Lord with my time, talents, and resources this week?
3. What area of my life do I need to surrender fully to God’s ownership?
Prayer
Lord God, thank You for being the giver of every good thing. Teach me to see all I have as Yours and to use it for Your glory. Help me to give with a joyful heart, trusting You as my source and provider. In Jesus name AMEN
