Friends, life constantly forces us to choose—between comfort and sacrifice, popularity and truth, fear and faith. The options may shift, but the standard never changes: No matter what the options are, choosing Jesus will always be the right answer.
Why? Because Jesus Himself declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). Not a way—the Way. When you choose Him, you choose the very path of life.
When the pressure says, “Compromise,” remember Joshua’s challenge: “Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve… But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24:15). They chose God—and never regretted it.
When the world offers safety in silence, recall Peter and John: “Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to Him? You judge. As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard” (Acts 4:19-20). They chose Jesus—and turned the world upside down.
Even when every visible option says, “Save yourself,” hear Jesus’ promise: “Whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for Me and for the gospel will save it” (Mark 8:35). Choosing Him may cost you now, but it secures eternity.
Stop weighing the lesser evil or the greater gain. Look at the cross. Look at the empty tomb. Jesus is never the wrong choice. He is the right answer for salvation, for direction, for hope, for everything.
As Peter said, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life” (John 6:68).
Choose Jesus. Every time. Always. Amen.
