Today in quiet time, the Lord gave me Joshua 1:9:
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
As I sat with this verse, I thought about the Israelites wandering in the wilderness for 40 years. They knew God, yet they remained wandering because the battle with the world is real. Every day we fight against fear, anger, envy, discouragement, pride, judgment, emotions, and thoughts that do not align with the mind of Christ. The pull of the world is strong, and if we are not careful, it keeps us spiritually wandering in circles.
Today I realized that I do not want to stay in the wilderness anymore.
I am done allowing fear, doubt, emotions, and worldly thinking to control my heart and mind. I am laying it all at the feet of Jesus. I am choosing to trust God completely as I step into the promised land He has prepared for me. There may still be battles ahead, but God did not promise I would fight them alone. He promised He would be with me wherever I go.
Today I lay Ashes to Artistry at His feet.
I lay my life at His feet.
I lay my thoughts, feelings, fears, and emotions at His feet.
And my prayer today is simple:
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”
Lord, mould me. Shape me. Teach me to think with the mind of Christ. Help me walk in courage, obedience, and faith. I trust You to lead me where You want me to go.
No more wilderness.
I am ready to walk with God into the promise.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
