Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.
When I went to the grocery store yesterday, I stopped by the office to issue a much-needed hug. Whether they thought it was needed, I knew it was. Afterwards, I went to my favorite walking trail there in town. It was so nice. I have never walked it that early before. There was something about the early morning walk that was even more refreshing than when I would walk it during lunch. I could hear the birds singing, the squirrels leaping from tree to tree or rustling the leaves of the underbrush, and the babbling of the creek that ran through it. The air was soothing and stimulating all at the same time. I will need to make sure that I go there on purpose.
Later in the afternoon, I made my way out to the she shed to have more quiet time with Him. The breeze blew through the high grass. The birds played tag past my open door. Looking out my window, my imagination took off for the many stories that lie beneath this upper canopy of taller existence. I can hardly wait to explore that new world in my stories.
I have pulled several stories for the anthology and listened to them from the computer voice. Lots of missing words. Haha. Lots of room to improve them. I believe I will enjoy this new project and also dislike it at the same time; however, I also believe this project will help me grow and develop my skills. Just as the odd writing prompts come together as a story … rereading items that I have already ‘completed’ to improve upon, will allow my imagination to stretch its current limits.
Is there an area in your life that He is asking you to stretch your limits? What are your inner thoughts on the matter? Welcoming … or resisting? What exactly about the limit is causing you to resist? The thought of the unknown? The thought of failure? The thought of … What is troubling you? And … on the flip side, what excites you about this possibility? Why are you not timid? The most important question … for either side … Why haven’t you started yet?
Change is scary and exciting at the same time. Take a moment today and sit with Him. Tell him your thoughts. Tell Him your anxieties. Tell Him your excitement. Tell Him your reservations. Tell Him … Then … Then listen. He is there. He is waiting. He is loving you into this new era. Know that He will not let you fall. Tell the enemy to kick rocks and embrace the unknown with the Father.
The world tells us all the time what we cannot do. Should not do. Better not do. Today, show the world what you can do with Him. Without reservation. Without concern. Without worry. Just the peace of His plan.
Be blessed.
