THE BLUEPRINT OF THE KINGDOM STRATEGIST: BE THE COUNSEL GOD WILL NEVER REJECT — THE JETHRO PROTOCOL
Broadcast Date: May 8, 2026
Scripture Foundation: Exodus 18:14-27
Theme: Moving from Criticism to Construction: Becoming a Helper of the War and a Preserver of the Mantle
THE CRISIS OF THE "SOLO" ANOINTED
Church, we have spent days exposing the poison of Shimei and the treachery of Ahithophel. But today, the Holy Spirit wants to show you the Pattern of the Kingdom Strategist. Many "counselors" in the Church today are merely critics in disguise. They see a leader's flaw and use it to disqualify them. But there was a man named Jethro who saw a leader's "not good" situation and used it to fortify him.
If you want your voice to carry weight in the courts of Heaven and the ears of the Anointed, you must study the Jethro Protocol.
THE EXPOSITION: THE ANATOMY OF DIVINE COUNSEL
1. The Observation of Love (Exodus 18:14, 17)
“And when Moses' father in law saw all that he did to the people... he said, The thing that thou doest is not good.”
Jethro didn't start a whisper campaign against Moses. He didn't go "without" to tell the brethren (the spirit of Ham). He sat, he watched, and he spoke to the face of the Anointed.
Prophetic Truth: Divine counsel is birthed in observation, not gossip. If you haven't stood with the leader in the "morning to evening" heat of the battle, you have no right to critique their "not good" methods.
2. The Preservation of the Vessel (Exodus 18:18)
“Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee...”
Jethro’s motive was Preservation. He wasn't trying to steal Moses’ seat; he was trying to keep Moses in his seat longer!
The Soul-Piercing Question: Is your advice designed to make the leader more effective, or is it designed to make them look incompetent? True Kingdom counsel seeks to prevent the "wearing away" of the Anointed.
3. The Apostolic Order: Teach, Show, Appoint (Exodus 18:20-21)
Jethro provided a three-fold blueprint:
Teach them the ordinances.
Show them the way they must walk.
Appoint able men who fear God and hate covetousness.
Jethro moved Moses from being a "bottleneck" to being a "builder." He introduced Apostolic Delegation. > Bible Reference: "And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also." (2 Timothy 2:2).
4. The Seal of Submission (Exodus 18:23)
“If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so, then thou shalt be able to endure...”
This is why God never rejected Jethro’s counsel! Jethro didn't say, "I am your father-in-law, you MUST do this." He said, "This is my wisdom, but subject it to the voice of God."
The Key: Counsel that God never opposes is counsel that defers to the Sovereign Voice of God over the Anointed. Jethro didn't try to be Moses’ God; he tried to help Moses hear God better.
THE SOUL-PIERCING REALITY: ARE YOU A BURDEN OR A BUILDER?
The Church is full of people who can tell you what’s wrong. It is starving for people who can provide the Exodus 18 Blueprint to fix it.
Ahithophel gave counsel to destroy the King.
Shimei gave "counsel" to shame the King.
Jethro gave counsel to DEPLOY the King and his people into their destiny.
God will never object to your counsel if your heart is to see the Anointed endure and the people satisfied.
YOUR APOSTOLIC MANDATE (CALL TO ACTION)
Today, we transition from being critics to being Kingdom Pillars.
PURGE THE SPIRIT OF CRITIQUE: Repent for every time you saw a "not good" situation in your local church or leadership and used it as a reason to complain instead of a reason to construct.
DEVELOP THE JETHRO EYE: Ask the Holy Spirit for "Strategic Sight." Start looking for solutions that preserve the strength of those who lead you.
SUBMIT YOUR WISDOM: The next time you offer a suggestion to a leader, add the Jethro Seal: "This is what I see, but please subject this to what God is telling you." This humility protects you from the pride of Ahithophel.
BECOME AN "ABLE" MAN/WOMAN: Jethro called for people who "fear God, love truth, and hate covetousness." If you want to be close to the Anointed, you must carry these qualities.
 PROPHETIC DECLARATION:
I decree that the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation is resting upon you! You will no longer be a source of grief to the Anointed, but a source of refreshment! Your mouth shall be a wellspring of Kingdom Strategy! I break the spirit of the 'silent critic' and release the 'Kingdom Builder' within you! You shall be the Jethro of your generation! In the Mighty Name of Jesus!
SHARE THIS to empower every leader and every helper in the Body of Christ!
