I head toward the mountains tall,
Where nature's strength may be,
Where waterfalls and lion's jaws
Around us we may see.

A little boy, an older teen
Sits silent and alone,
And as I watch, I realize,
This little boy I know.

He sits in silence filled with gloom,
His heart is sinking low,
But though he doesn't see it yet,
The sunlight starts to show.

He hangs his head, nowhere to go,
Nowhere that feels like home,
So by himself he wanders round,
Defeated and alone.

His thoughts run wild, his mind is full
Of thoughts to end the pain,
But though he tries to end his life,
He, broken, still remains.

I reach my hand toward this lad,
I speak in whispers low,
'Just trust me, I know it will be
Alright, you'll find your home.

'I know it's tough when nobody
Seems to care about you,
But I know One who loves you so
Much that He died for you.'

My eyes met his, and though still tired,
His eyes lit up in joy,
For could it be that there was such
A Man to save this boy?
