3. DANIEL WARNED THAT GOD’S LAW WOULD BE ATTACKED
Long before Revelation 13, Daniel warned of a power that would attempt to tamper with divine authority:
“He shall… think to change times and laws.”

God says:
“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy… the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God.”
— Exodus 20:8–10
The Bible says seventh day.
Tradition points to Sunday.
That is not a small difference.
That is a question of authority.
“The Sabbath will be the great test of loyalty, for it is the point of truth especially controverted.”

Remember: The issue is not merely a day on the calendar—it is the throne of authority in the heart.
Rebuke and exhortation: If we can set aside one commandment because tradition says so, what will stop us from setting aside any commandment when pressure says so?

4. HISTORY ALREADY SHOWED THE PATTERN
Those who say, “A Sunday law can never happen,” forget that Sunday legislation already appeared in history.
In A.D. 321, Roman Emperor Constantine issued civil legislation concerning Sunday rest.
That was not Sinai.
That was not the fourth commandment.
That was not an apostolic command.
It was civil power favoring Sunday.
History introduced the pattern.
Prophecy warns of its final repeat.
Religion.
Civil power.
A worship issue.
Pressure on conscience.
Remember: What has happened before can return with greater force when prophecy reaches its final hour.

5. SUNDAY IS NOT THE BIBLE SABBATH
The Bible does not say, “Remember Sunday.”
The Bible says:
“The seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God.”
— Exodus 20:10
The Sabbath was blessed at Creation before there was Jew or Gentile.
“God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it.”
— Genesis 2:3
So the issue is not confusion.
The Bible points to the seventh day.
Human tradition points to Sunday.
The final question is:
WHO HAS AUTHORITY OVER WORSHIP—GOD OR MAN?
Remember: A tradition may be ancient, popular, and religious—yet still not be a command of God.
Rebuke and exhortation: Do not let majority practice replace plain Scripture. Majority worship is not automatically true worship.

6. MODERN CALLS FOR BLUE LAWS SHOW THE PRINCIPLE IS NOT DEAD
Rest is good.
Family is good.
Worker protection is good.
Social concern is good.
But when a religiously favored day receives civil power, conscience is placed in danger.
Today, many voices still call for a return to blue-law principles—laws that limit commerce, work, or public activity on a common rest day. Some speak of family recovery. Some speak of mental health. Some speak of social order. Some speak of worker protection. Some speak of national renewal.
Those reasons may sound good.
But prophecy warns us: when civil power begins commanding religious observance, conscience is no longer free.
A Sunday law may not begin by saying, “Reject the Sabbath.”
It may begin by saying:
“Protect society.”
“Restore family.”
“Preserve rest.”
“Unite the people.”
“Return to moral order.”
Remember: Persecution does not always begin with cruelty. Sometimes it begins with public good.
Rebuke and exhortation: Be watchful. The final deception may come dressed in morality, unity, rest, and peace—while quietly preparing the machinery of compulsion.

7. SPIRIT OF PROPHECY WARNS OF SUNDAY ENFORCEMENT
“When Sunday observance shall be enforced by law… whoever shall transgress the command of God… will thereby honor popery above God.”
— The Great Controversy, p. 449
“The dignitaries of church and state will unite to bribe, persuade, or compel all classes to honor the Sunday.”
— The Great Controversy, ch. 35
“Those who honor the Bible Sabbath will be denounced as enemies of law and order.”
— The Great Controversy, ch. 38
This is not panic.
This is prophecy.
This is not fear.
This is faithfulness.
Satan does not need to make everyone atheist.
He only needs to make people religious under the wrong authority.
Remember: False worship is most dangerous when it still uses holy language.
Rebuke and exhortation: Do not merely know the warning. Let the warning prepare your character.

8. THE MARK IS NOT HERE NOW—BUT THE ROAD IS BEING PREPARED
Truth must be spoken carefully.
No sincere Sunday keeper has the final mark of the beast now.
“No one has yet received the mark of the beast.”
— Evangelism, p. 234
The mark comes when truth is clearly presented, Sunday observance is enforced by law, and people knowingly choose human authority above God’s command.
The issue is not sincere ignorance.
The issue is rejected light.
The issue is not merely a day.
The issue is who has the right to command the conscience.
“This is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light.”
— John 3:19
Remember: Light rejected today becomes guilt in the judgment tomorrow.
Rebuke and exhortation: Do not wait for enforcement to study truth. By then, the heart may already be trained to compromise.

9. BIBLE HISTORY SHOWS HOW WORSHIP LAWS WORK
Daniel 3 was a worship law.
The image stood.
The music played.
The crowd bowed.
The government threatened death.
But three Hebrews stood.
“We will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image.”
— Daniel 3:18
Daniel 6 was also a worship law.
The decree attacked prayer.
Daniel opened his window.
The lions waited.
God delivered.
The issue was not whether Daniel and his friends were good citizens.
The issue was whether earthly law could overrule God.
When man’s law contradicts God’s law, the faithful answer:
“We ought to obey God rather than men.”
— Acts 5:29
Remember: The crowd may bow, the music may play, the law may threaten—but the faithful still stand.
Rebuke and exhortation: Practice standing now in small tests, or you will fall when the great test comes.

BIBLE ILLUSTRATION: NOAH’S WARNING BEFORE THE FLOOD
Noah preached while the sky was still clear.
There was no rain.
No flood.
No visible disaster.
Only the Word of God.
The people ate.
They drank.
They married.
They built.
They laughed at the warning.
But one day, the door closed.
Then the rain came.
“As the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
— Matthew 24:37
Noah was not extreme.
He was obedient.
The mockers were not wise.
They were unprepared.
Remember: A warning sounds unnecessary only to the soul that refuses to believe God before the evidence becomes visible.
Rebuke and exhortation: Do not wait until prophecy becomes headline reality before you enter the ark of truth, obedience, and preparation.

PREPARE BEFORE PRESSURE COMES
Beloved, do not wait for a Sunday law to study the Sabbath.
Do not wait for persecution to learn prayer.
Do not wait for buying and selling to be touched before loosening your grip on the world.
Do not wait for the final test to decide whose side you are on.
**THE FINAL CRISIS WILL NOT CREATE LOYALTY.
IT WILL REVEAL IT.**
If convenience rules now, pressure will move you then.
If fear rules now, threats will silence you then.
If appetite rules now, hardship will shake you then.
If pride rules now, truth will offend you then.
If the world owns you now, the mark will not shock you then.
But if Christ rules now, He will keep you then.
So prepare now.
SPIRITUAL PREPARATION
Study now.
Pray now.
Repent now.
Reform now.
Surrender now.
Obey known light now.
Keep God’s commandments now.
Let Jesus write His law in your heart now.
Do not depend on borrowed conviction.
Do not live on secondhand faith.
Do not carry truth only in the mouth.
Have truth in the mind.
Truth in the heart.
Truth in the life.
Truth settled so deeply that pressure cannot move it.
“None but those who have fortified the mind with the truths of the Bible will stand through the last great conflict.”
— The Great Controversy, p. 593
PHYSICAL PREPARATION
Simplify now.
Reduce dependence on the world now.
Train your household in faithfulness now.
Order your life for obedience now.
Prepare to stand without selling your conscience for comfort.
And yes—pray and plan wisely about country living.
Not as fear.
Not as fanaticism.
Not as running from duty.
But as preparation for a simpler, healthier, more obedient life—where families can be trained, appetites disciplined, children guarded, worship strengthened, and dependence on worldly systems reduced.
“Out of the cities; out of the cities!”

“It is not God’s will that His people shall settle in the cities.”
— Country Living, p. 31
This does not mean rash moves, careless decisions, or irresponsible panic.
It means prayerful preparation, practical wisdom, and obedience to light.

This will surely come—not because men say so, but because prophecy says so.
Revelation 13 will not fail.
Revelation 14 will not be silenced.
The final test will come.
The commandments of God will be brought into conflict with the commandments of men.
Every soul will reveal whose authority rules the heart.
When that hour comes, the question will not be:
Who mocked the warning?
The question will be:
WHO OBEYED GOD WHEN HIS WORD WAS PLAIN?
So prepare before pressure comes.
Prepare spiritually.
Prepare physically.
Prepare your home.
Prepare your children.
Prepare your character.
Prepare your faith.
Because prophecy is not given to entertain curiosity.
It is given to awaken preparation.
