THE MAN IN THE MIDDLE
DANIEL 3:25 GNT
"Then why do I see four men walking around in the fire?" he asked. "They are not tied up, and they show no sign of being hurt--and the fourth one looks like an angel."
There are many different translations as to how the fourth person in the furnace was with the three Hebrew children. The most common interpretation is Jesus because of the phrase in NJV and NKJV Bibles which reads “:Son of God.” It is the only translation that uses that phrase. All others use some sort of “a son of the gods.”
So what is the truth? Let’s look at the original text. The Old Testament was written in Hebrew or Aramaic. The arimaic word used here is “Bar (Ben) Elohim’ or “Benehin.”The word is singular and means “son of a god or angel of God.” It is the singular form of “Bar (Ben) Elohim” or
“Benehim.” The phrase “sons of God’ is mentioned in Genesis 6:2-4 and is translated benehim from the original text. The same phrase is also used about “sons of God” in Job 1:6 and Job 2:1 here some translations use “the sons of God” while others use the word angels. The phrase also appears in Psalm 82:6. It is also translated both ways depending on the translation you use. The Talmud uses the word angel and even identifies the angel as the angel of God and even identifies the angel as Gabriel.
Now back to the KJV lovers who believe it is the Son of God read verse 28. In this verse King Nebuchadnezzar even admits that the God of the Hebrews sent his angel and “delivered his servants”
LIKE i mentioned before there are those who think it is Jesus. Why would someone matter if it was. Why should it be Jesus? Jesus did not appear to humans before the incarnation. That is a belief held by The Mormons (LDS) and Jehovah’s Witnesses.
