Hello brothers and sisters in Christ. im new here and will be posting as im led. Today I'd like to share the 1st word I ever preached. I pray it finds the ears that need to hear it. please feel free to share it, as I feel its an important word in these times. All the glory to God!
"Living like Jesus"
Living like Jesus is a profound and transformative journey that invites us to embody the love, compassion, and humility that He exemplified during His time on Earth. Jesus' life was marked by a deep sense of purpose and a relentless commitment to serving others. He taught us that true greatness is found in humility and service, not in power or prestige. By following His example, we are called to put the needs of others before our own, to love our neighbors as ourselves, and to extend grace and forgiveness even to those who may have wronged us.
Jesus' ministry was characterized by a radical inclusivity that challenged the social norms of His time. He reached out to the marginalized, the outcasts, and the sinners, offering them hope, healing, and a place at His table. In doing so, He demonstrated that God's love knows no boundaries and that every person, regardless of their background or circumstances, is precious in His sight. As followers of Christ, we are called to embrace this same inclusivity, to welcome the stranger, to care for the poor, and to stand up for the oppressed. By doing so, we become instruments of God's love and grace in the world.
Living like Jesus also means cultivating a life of prayer and intimacy with God. Jesus often withdrew to quiet places to commune with our Father, seeking His will and guidance. He modeled a life of dependence on God, trusting in His provision and protection. In our own lives, we are called to cultivate a similar intimacy with God, to spend time in prayer and meditation, and to seek His will in all that we do. Through this intimate relationship, we are empowered to live lives that reflect His love and glory.
Jesus' life was marked by a profound sense of joy and peace, even in the midst of trials and tribulations. He taught us that true joy is not found in material possessions or worldly success, but in a right relationship with God. He promised that His peace would guard our hearts and minds, even in the midst of life's storms. As we live like Jesus, we are called to cultivate this same joy and peace, trusting in God's goodness and sovereignty, even when circumstances are difficult. By doing so, we become beacons of hope and light in a world that often feels dark and uncertain.
Living like Jesus also means being a light in the world, shining brightly in a way that draws others to HIM. Jesus taught that we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world, called to preserve and enhance the goodness around us. By living with integrity, compassion, and love, we can make a positive impact on those around us, inspiring them to seek a deeper relationship with God. This involves not only our actions but also our words and attitudes, ensuring that everything we do reflects the character of Christ.
Finally, living like Jesus means being prepared to face opposition and persecution. Jesus Himself faced intense opposition and ultimately gave His life for the sake of others. He taught that following Him would not be easy, but that those who endure to the end would be saved. As we live like Jesus, we must be prepared to stand firm in our faith, even in the face of adversity. By doing so, we can be a powerful witness to the transforming power of God's love and grace, inspiring others to follow in His footsteps.
Your redemption is close at hand....
