THE SPIRITUAL AUDIT: STOP PRAYING ABOUT IT—TRACK IT!
Broadcast Date: May 12, 2026
Topic: Moving from Vague Intentions to Apostolic Accuracy
Scripture Foundation: 1 Corinthians 9:26-27; James 2:18; Proverbs 24:3-4
THE SANCTUARY OF SLOTH: THE PRAYER ESCAPE
Saints, we are entering a season of Divine Accountability. For too long, the Church has used "I’m praying about it" as a religious smoke-screen for "I am too undisciplined to do it." We have substituted the Labor of Obedience with the Language of Longing.
You don’t need more "prophetic words" about your future if you are not tracking your faithfulness in the present. God does not reward "vibes"; He rewards stewardship. If you cannot measure your growth, you cannot manage your destiny. It is time to stop "waiting on God" for things He is waiting on you to execute!
THE EXPOSITION: THE THEOLOGY OF THE METRIC
1. The Aimless Runner (1 Corinthians 9:26-27)
“I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air...”
Paul did not have "vague goals." He didn't just hope to be a good apostle. He ran with certainty. He "buffeted his body." To buffet means to strike with precision. You cannot strike a target you haven't defined.
The Soul-Piercing Truth: If you say you want to "pray more," but have no start time and no duration, you are merely "beating the air." Uncertainty is the playground of the lukewarm.
2. The Evidence of the Ledger (James 2:18)
“...shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.”
Faith is invisible, but its fruit is quantifiable. In the Book of Acts, they didn't just say "many people joined." They said, "about three thousand souls" (Acts 2:41). They tracked the harvest! Why are you afraid to track your spiritual output? Is it because you’re afraid to see how little you are actually doing for the King?
3. The Builder’s Calculation (Luke 14:28)
“For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost...”
