THE 5-MINUTE DAILY AUDIT THAT WILL EXPOSE YOUR SPIRITUAL LIFE
Broadcast Date: May 13, 2026
Topic: The End of Pretense: The Brutal Checklist of the Kingdom Labourer
Scripture Foundation: 2 Corinthians 13:5; Lamentations 3:40; Psalm 139:23-24
THE DANGER OF UNEXAMINED CHRISTIANITY
Saints of the Most High, we have mastered the art of looking alive while spiritually flatlining. We track our bank accounts, we count our calories, and we monitor our social media metrics—but we leave the state of our eternal souls to "chance" and "good vibes."
God is not mocked. You can fool the usher board, you can impress the choir, and you can even deceive yourself with your perfect attendance record. But Heaven measures what you manage in secret. It is time to stop playing church and start managing your spiritual estate. We don't just need casual workers in the vineyard anymore; labourers, not workers, are needed in this final harvest! And a true labourer audits their life daily.
THE EXPOSITION: THE MANDATE OF THE MIRROR
1. The Apostolic Command to "Prove" (2 Corinthians 13:5)
“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?”
The Apostle Paul didn’t say, "Ask your pastor if you are in the faith." He commanded you to put yourself under the microscope. If you go months without a spiritual audit, you risk becoming a "reprobate"—a counterfeit coin that looks authentic but holds no Kingdom value.
2. The Daily Search (Lamentations 3:40)
“Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the Lord.”
A search requires digging. It requires disrupting the comfortable soil of your daily routine. Growth is never an accident; it is the result of deliberate, brutal honesty with the Holy Spirit.
THE CRUCIBLE: THE 5-MINUTE DAILY AUDIT
I challenge you to implement this system. Whether you write it down, use a digital habit tracker, or simply kneel by your bed—take 5 minutes every night to face the mirror of the Word.
Ask yourself these 5 soul-piercing questions:
1. THE APPETITE TEST: What did I reach for first today?
Did I wake up and immediately feed my flesh with timelines, news, and notifications, or did I prioritize the Bread of Life? Your morning hunger reveals your master.
Metric: “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee...” (Psalm 63:1).
2. THE SECRET LEDGER: What did I entertain when no one was watching?
When the door was locked and the screen was dark, did my thoughts and browser history reflect a temple of the Holy Ghost, or a playground for demons? Pretense survives in public; truth is revealed in private.
Metric: “For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” (Ecclesiastes 12:14).
3. THE OFFENSE CHECK: Am I carrying a corpse into tomorrow?
Did I allow bitterness, anger, or a critical spirit to settle in my heart today? Am I going to sleep with the Shimei spirit of revenge, or have I released my offenders to the Judge?
Metric: “...let not the sun go down upon your wrath:” (Ephesians 4:26).
4. THE SICKLE REQUIREMENT: Did I disrupt hell today?
This is the ultimate test of the true labourer. Look at the scarcity of the sickle in our generation! Did I share the Gospel, intercede for a lost soul, or release the Kingdom of God into my environment today, or was I just a spiritual consumer?
Metric: “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” (John 15:8).
5. THE ALTAR OF REPENTANCE: Where did I grieve the Spirit?
Don't make excuses. Don't rationalize. Name the sin. Confess the pride. Put it on the altar before you close your eyes.
YOUR APOSTOLIC MANDATE (CALL TO ACTION)
You will never grow beyond your willingness to be corrected—first by God, and then by the evidence of your own daily habits.
START TONIGHT: Do not wait for Sunday. Before you sleep tonight, run the 5-Minute Audit.
TRACK THE TRUTH: Stop relying on your memory. Start tracking your spiritual habits. A life unrecorded is a life easily deceived.
SHARE THE BURDEN: Send this checklist to three believers who are serious about moving from "pretending" to "prevailing."
PRAY THE PSALMIST'S PRAYER: "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me..." (Psalm 139:23-24).
PROPHETIC DECLARATION:
I decree that the scales of spiritual deception are falling from your eyes! You will no longer be satisfied with a shallow, unexamined walk! The Holy Ghost is activating a deep conviction within you. Your daily habits will align with your eternal destiny! I call forth the genuine labourers from the pews of complacency! In the Mighty Name of Jesus!
COMMENT "I AM READY FOR THE AUDIT" if you commit to this tonight!
