Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

Tomorrow is my last official day as a postal employee. I have been on leave for the last month and a half, but tomorrow is the end of that season for me. It is bittersweet. I have learned a lot in the last month. I have learned how much sleep my body really likes to have. I have learned that quiet is loud until you get used to it. I have learned that there are other ways to live up to the way we were brought up. I have learned that words really do sing when placed in the correct sequence. I have learned that I am right where I am supposed to be.

In the last month alone, I have been just as busy as if I had set my alarm and gotten up for ‘work’. I have written at least five, maybe more, short stories. I finished and published my last book. Am assisting in the organization of a fundraiser event. Did two signing events. Met some really neat people and decided to go big with signing events. I have had some very quality time with my mom and enjoyed the laughter of her inner child.

The Holy Spirit has shown up in a fascinating number of ways to show me, without a doubt, that this is my new season. That all the noise about this being a mistake was from the enemy. There have been days that I have done nothing of worldly value, literally, except make meals for my husband, and then there are days that I am on the move constantly; however, most days are simple days where the time disappears, and all I have done is write.

I am sure that all this rest is building me up for something. It is always most peaceful before a good storm. I am okay with that. I am sure that I will go into survival mode, I always do, but I will be rested and ready for the battle now. Whether that is bigger events or my husband’s or mother’s health (both are fine right now), His plan as I see it, is to prepare my body so that I can handle what is coming. Not being downcast, just reading life.

One thing for sure is that whatever the season is that is coming, I will do my due diligence to remember that it is all part of His plan for my life and He has already taken care of the hard stuff.
What does your season look like? Are you stuck in a cycle that says that you are flailing out of control or a season where the world is really upset with you because you are not listening to the noise, but the peace?

Today I encourage you to take a big leap of faith, cast all your cares to Him, focus only on the beauty around you and trust that the cares are being dealt with. Do not reach out and take them back during the day, leave them in His hands. This is a big step. This is a difficult step. But I truly believe that you will find this a beneficial step.

Be blessed.
