“Called Out of Lo-debar”
“Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir… from Lo-debar.” — 2 Samuel 9:5 KJV

Thought Of The Day...
Mephibosheth’s story is a powerful reminder that God’s grace can reach us even in the lowest places of life. He was dropped as a child, crippled in both feet, and hidden away in Lo-debar — a barren and forgotten place. His condition came from a fall he did not cause, yet he lived with the pain and limitations of it every day.
Many people today can relate to Mephibosheth. Some are carrying wounds from broken relationships, painful experiences, rejection, disappointment, or situations beyond their control. The enemy wants you to believe that because you are wounded, you are forgotten. But God never forgets His covenant and He never loses your address.
While Mephibosheth was hiding in Lo-debar, King David was searching for him.
That is the beauty of grace. God comes looking for us even when we feel unworthy, broken, or ashamed. David did not call Mephibosheth to punish him; he called him to restore him. He restored his inheritance and gave him a permanent seat at the king’s table.
This is exactly what Jesus does for us. Sin left humanity broken and spiritually crippled, but Jesus came to restore what was lost. Through His grace, we are no longer defined by our past, our pain, or our failures. We are invited to sit at the King’s table as sons and daughters of God.
Your Lo-debar is not your final destination.
God is still calling people out of dry places:
• Out of fear
• Out of depression
• Out of shame
• Out of hopelessness
• Out of spiritual barrenness
The same God who restored Mephibosheth can restore you. What others see as broken, God sees as redeemable. What life dropped, God can raise again.
Today, remember this truth: You may have a limp, but you still have a seat at the table.

Prayer...
Father, thank You for Your amazing grace and mercy. Thank You for loving me even in my brokenness. Help me to stop allowing my past, my pain, or my failures to define me. Remind me that You know my name and You have not forgotten me.
Lord, bring me out of every dry and barren place. Restore my joy, my peace, my strength, and my purpose. Thank You for inviting me to Your table and calling me Your own.
I declare that my story is not over. Restoration, healing, and favor belong to me through Jesus Christ.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
