This will not be a popular post. Last night at church, we received an awesome message on love from Steve Cooper (Mark Steven Cooper).
Here’s what I feel the Father is saying to me:
I may not like someone or agree with how they act or what they say. The bottom line is, we are to love these people. Love them enough to Speak truth into their lives, and if we can’t get close enough to them, we are to love them enough to pray that their understanding is enlightened, that their eyes and mind are open to the truth of the gospel.
With that said, I very much dislike what the democrats stand for, and I dislike what Harris stands for running for president, but if I can’t love them, as the Father loves them and pray for them, I am in error.
Yeshua died for them also, and the Father desires for them to come unto Himself, just as much as He desired you and I to come unto Him.
I agree that we as sons and daughters of God are to stand up for what is right in the sight of God, but bashing these people with our words is not demonstrating Who the Father is… He is love.
Forgiveness is available to them, as it was for us. When Yeshua cried out from the cross; Father forgive them, for they know not what they do, He still cry’s out today.
The truth is, they are making a choice to reject the One Who can save them, they are wandering around in the darkness of this world, just as you and I did in our past.
I hate what they stand for, as God does, but He loves them and is calling them to repentance. You and I play a part in that. The Father hears our prayers for them, and Holy Spirit will bring conviction on their hearts. Whether or not, they turn from their wickedness, is between them and God. Our job is to love them as the Father loved us.
Let us truly choose to pray for their souls and their salvation. Continue to stand against the evil. Remember, their sin, their choices and their lifestyle is not who they are, it’s what they do.
