Let's talk about it.
SATURDAY OR SUNDAY?
WHICH DAY DID GOD MAKE HOLY?

THE TRUTH WILL SHOCK YOU.

Before anyone calls the Sabbath “Jewish,” remember this:

THE SABBATH WAS BLESSED BEFORE THERE WAS A JEW.

Before Sinai.
Before Moses.
Before Israel became a nation.
Before sin entered the world.

This is not merely about a day.

This is about worship, authority, obedience, love, and loyalty to the Creator.

The real question is not, “Which day do I prefer?”

The real question is:

WHICH DAY DID GOD MAKE HOLY?
---

1. THE SABBATH BEGAN AT CREATION

God did not bless Sunday.
God did not sanctify the first day.
God blessed and sanctified the seventh day.

“And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it.”
— Genesis 2:3

The Sabbath existed before the Jews, before Moses, before Sinai, and before the Old Covenant with Israel.

THE SABBATH STARTED WITH GOD—NOT WITH MAN.
---

2. THE FOURTH COMMANDMENT IDENTIFIES THE DAY

God did not say, “Remember any day.”
God did not say, “Remember the first day.”

He said:

“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy… the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God.”
— Exodus 20:8–10

Then God gave the reason:

“For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth… wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.”
— Exodus 20:11

THE SABBATH COMMANDMENT POINTS BACK TO CREATION—NOT MERELY TO ISRAEL.

It is not just Jewish history.
It is Creation truth.
It is God’s memorial of His authority.
---

3. JESUS SAID THE SABBATH WAS MADE FOR MAN

Jesus did not say the Sabbath was made only for Jews.

“The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath.”
— Mark 2:27

THE SABBATH WAS MADE FOR MANKIND.

For the weary.
For the worshiper.
For the Creator’s children.
For every soul who belongs to God.

THE SABBATH IS GOD’S GIFT TO HUMANITY.
---

4. JESUS KEPT THE SABBATH

Jesus honored the Sabbath as His custom.

“As his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day.”
— Luke 4:16

The Saviour did not treat the Sabbath as abolished, burdensome, or meaningless.

He honored it.
He worshiped on it.
He restored its true meaning.

IF JESUS HONORED THE SABBATH, WHY SHOULD WE TREAT IT LIGHTLY?
---

5. THE APOSTLES PREACHED ON THE SABBATH

The apostles continued using the Sabbath for worship and teaching.

“The next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.”
— Acts 13:44

Paul reasoned with both Jews and Greeks every Sabbath:

“He reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.”
— Acts 18:4

Jews heard the gospel on Sabbath.
Gentiles heard the gospel on Sabbath.
Paul reasoned every Sabbath.

THE BIBLE NEVER SAYS SUNDAY BECAME THE SABBATH.
---

6. REVELATION POINTS TO A COMMANDMENT-KEEPING PEOPLE

The final people of God are described clearly:

“Here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”
— Revelation 14:12

The last-day issue is not commandment-breaking faith.

It is the commandments of God, the faith of Jesus, love that obeys, and truth that stands.

THE REMNANT DO NOT REJECT GOD’S COMMANDMENTS—THEY KEEP THEM THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS.
---

7. THE BIBLE NEVER TRANSFERS SABBATH HOLINESS TO SUNDAY

There is no Bible verse that says:

No verse says Sunday became the Sabbath.
No verse says God blessed Sunday.
No verse says God sanctified Sunday.
No verse says the apostles changed the Sabbath.
No verse says the fourth commandment was rewritten.

NO VERSE. NO COMMAND. NO DIVINE TRANSFER.

If God never changed the Sabbath in Scripture, man has no authority to change it by tradition.
---

8. THE CALENDAR CHANGE DID NOT BREAK THE WEEKLY CYCLE

Some say, “But the calendar changed.”

Yes, calendar dates changed.
But the weekly cycle did not.

When the Gregorian calendar was adopted, dates were skipped, but weekdays continued in order.

Thursday was followed by Friday.
The seven-day cycle was not destroyed.
Saturday remained the seventh day.

THE CALENDAR CHANGED DATES—NOT GOD’S WEEKLY SABBATH.
---

9. COMMON SENSE CONFIRMS THE WEEKLY SABBATH WAS PRESERVED

If the weekly Sabbath had been lost, the Jewish people worldwide would also have lost track of their Sabbath.

But Jewish Sabbath observance has remained connected with the same seventh day known today as Saturday.

The week was not lost.
The seventh day remained identifiable.
Saturday still stands as the Bible Sabbath.

THE CALENDAR DID NOT ERASE GOD’S SABBATH.
---

10. CATHOLIC SOURCES ADMIT SATURDAY IS THE BIBLE SABBATH

Catholic sources themselves acknowledge that the Bible Sabbath is Saturday.

The Catholic Catechism recognizes the Sabbath command and Creation foundation, then says Sunday is distinguished from the Sabbath and, in Catholic worship, replaces Sabbath observance.
— Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2168–2175

Another Catholic catechism states:

> “Which is the Sabbath day?”
“Saturday is the Sabbath day.”
“Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?”
“Because the Catholic Church… transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday.”
— The Convert’s Catechism of Catholic Doctrine

Catholic records admit Saturday is the Sabbath.
Catholic records admit Sunday rests on church authority.
Catholic records admit the change is not from a Bible command.

THE ISSUE IS NOT CONFUSION—IT IS AUTHORITY.
---

11. THE ISSUE IS AUTHORITY

The question is not merely Saturday or Sunday.

The question is:

God’s Word or man’s tradition?
God’s command or church authority?
The seventh day God blessed or the first day man exalted?
The Creator’s command or the creature’s custom?

“We ought to obey God rather than men.”
— Acts 5:29

WHEN GOD SPEAKS, MAN HAS NO RIGHT TO EDIT.
---

12. THE SABBATH IS GOD’S SIGN

The Sabbath is not merely a day of rest.
It is God’s sign of authority as Creator and Sanctifier.

“I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them.”
— Ezekiel 20:12

“Hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you.”
— Ezekiel 20:20

The Sabbath points to the God who created us, owns us, sanctifies us, and commands our worship.

THE SABBATH IS HEAVEN’S SIGN OF THE CREATOR’S AUTHORITY.
---

13. THE FOURTH COMMANDMENT CONTAINS GOD’S SEAL

A seal contains name, title, and territory.

The fourth commandment contains all three:

Name: “The LORD thy God”
Title: Creator — “made”
Territory: “heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is”
— Exodus 20:10–11

THE SEVENTH DAY CARRIES THE SEAL OF THE GOD WHO MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH.
---

14. SPIRIT OF PROPHECY CONFIRMS THE SABBATH’S FINAL IMPORTANCE

“The sign, or seal, of God is revealed in the observance of the seventh-day Sabbath, the Lord’s memorial of creation.”
— Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 8, p. 117

“The Sabbath will be the great test of loyalty, for it is the point of truth especially controverted.”
— The Great Controversy, p. 605

“The change of the Sabbath is the sign or mark of the authority of the Roman Church.”
— Evangelism, p. 234

The Sabbath is not a minor issue in the final conflict.

It is a test of loyalty, worship, obedience, and authority.

THE FINAL CRISIS WILL REVEAL WHO HONORS GOD’S WORD ABOVE MAN’S TRADITION.
---

15. NO SINCERE SUNDAY KEEPER HAS THE FINAL MARK NOW

This truth must be spoken with tears, not pride.

“No one has yet received the mark of the beast.”
— Evangelism, p. 234

The final test comes when truth is clearly presented, Sunday observance is enforced by law, and people knowingly choose human authority above God’s command.

“When Sunday observance shall be enforced by law… whoever shall transgress the command of God… will thereby honor popery above God.”
— The Great Controversy, p. 449

The issue is not sincere people.

The issue is rejected light.
The issue is enforced false worship.
The issue is human authority above God’s command.

TRUTH MUST BE SPOKEN WITH LOVE—BUT LOVE MUST NEVER SILENCE TRUTH.
---

16. SABBATH KEEPING DOES NOT SAVE—CHRIST SAVES

The Sabbath does not save us.
Jesus saves us.

But the Christ who saves also says:

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
— John 14:15

Grace does not erase obedience.
Grace writes obedience in the heart.

“I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts.”
— Hebrews 8:10

We do not keep the Sabbath to be saved.

We keep it because we love the Saviour, honor the Creator, obey His Word, and follow the Lamb.

OBEDIENCE IS NOT THE ROOT OF SALVATION—IT IS THE FRUIT OF LOVE.
---

BELOVED,

Creation proves the Sabbath.
The commandment names the Sabbath.
Jesus honored the Sabbath.
The apostles preached on the Sabbath.
The calendar preserved the weekly cycle.
Catholic records admit the change.
Revelation points to commandment-keeping people in the last days.

So the question remains:

IF GOD BLESSED THE SEVENTH DAY, WHO GAVE MAN AUTHORITY TO CHANGE IT?

Dear soul, study now.
Surrender now.
Obey now.
Love Jesus now.

The seventh day still stands—

Blessed in Eden.
Written at Sinai.
Kept by Christ.
Honored by the apostles.
Preserved through history.
Lifted again in the final warning.
