At Vision complex orphanage, there are children who cry silently through the night because of pain caused by sickle cell anemia, HIV/AIDS, malaria, and other serious diseases. Some of them have grown up knowing hospitals more than playgrounds. Some sleep praying that the pain in their bodies will calm down before morning comes.

There are moments when we watch these innocent children struggling to breathe, struggling to smile, and struggling to remain strong while their small bodies fight battles too heavy for their age. Malaria continues to attack many of them, and for children living with sickle cell anemia, every fever becomes dangerous and heartbreaking.

Yet in the middle of all this pain, they still pray. They still worship God. They still believe Jesus loves them.

Many times we have asked ourselves how these children continue moving forward despite all these challenges. The answer is simple — God has never abandoned them. Through the prayers of faithful Christians, through kind hearts willing to help with medicine, food, and encouragement, God continues making a way where there seems to be no way.

Today we are asking the body of Christ to stand with these children in prayer. Please pray for healing. Pray for strength. Pray that God may raise more people willing to support their medical care and daily needs.

Sometimes one prayer, one act of kindness, one person choosing to care, can become the miracle these children have been waiting for.

“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me.” — Matthew 25:40
