Matthew 6:3
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Message
Jesus is flipping priorities. Most people chase provision, security, and status first, the fit God in if there's to me. He says reverse it. When God and His rule are first, he handles the rest.
IT'S ABOUT TRUST, NOT EARNING.
Promise
If you seek him first, all these things, your needs for food, clothing, security, will be taken care of. God doesn't promise luxurious but he does promise provision for those who put him first.
Command
Seek first. That's active. It means start your day, decisions and desires with God's kingdom in view, not your own.
Warning
Matthew 6 warns against anxiety and serving two masters. If God isn't first, worry and divided loyalty will take over. You'll burn out chasing what he already wants to give.
Application
Before you check your phone tomorrow, spend 5 min in Matthew 6
