#Day 4 Series on the Coming Down of the Holy Spirit
THE WIND THAT ANNOUNCES FULLNESS
"Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting."
— Acts 2:2
The 120 were all together, gathered in the upper room, waiting, asking, and hoping with perseverance. Then came the day when nothing was given, no one expected it. A sound, like the blowing of a violent wind, descended and filled the whole house. God appeared.
The Holy Spirit is compared to the wind, pnoē in Greek. The wind is invisible, yet irresistible. It is simple, yet powerful when it blows.
The wind does not ask permission. It invades.
Beloved, the wind of the Spirit is still blowing. God doesn't always announce Himself, but when the wind of the Spirit blows, God is preparing something, and He is acting.
Prepare your heart for sudden changes. Prepare yourself for the breath of the wind that announces the coming of the Spirit. Prepare yourself for His visitation.
The Holy Spirit wants to be poured out and fill your life. Come and let Him work.
