First and foremost I give all honor and glory to my lord and savior Jesus Christ for saving m3 from the life I had been living!
when I was young I was traumatized and bullied at a very young age,I held so much anger and resentment that it came out later in life
I got married at 15 to my beautiful wife and we had 3 children, 2 girls one boy. My story reminds me of how manasseh in how in 2 chronicles 33 :10-13 he previously had done evil but turned back to God and the lord restored him after he humbled himself and prayed to God and forgave him. after I had been living and working the enemy came to destroy my family unity and I didn't know how to handl it so I started to get into trouble with drinking and doing drugs and I got into trouble with the law so I ended up getting incarcerated and finally ended up in prison not only once but twice and I came out still not acknowledging that God had been trying to get my attention,
In 1991 my wife died to cancer , I was locked up and my children were young and I was baptized by a chaplain after accepting Christ but overtime I had come out of prison I forgot God and turned to drugs ,women and alcohol and itvalwa6s ended me back in jail.
Until finally I got tired of living the way I was and turned back to Jesus and knelt down in my room literally crying for him to take my way of living away , I was tired of running away and after finally when he saw that I was really repenting and ready for transformation, Jesus took my stone heart and transformed my life! The next day after I had prayed I lost the favor for the world ! I saw and felt different I no longer cared for the things of the world, so I started to seek Jesus even more ! I started to read my Bible taking ministry courses and learning all I could that now after all the life I had lived,I became a licensed chaplain but God had another door for me that ,I became a Pastor of a small church ! Jesus is real and has shown me a better way to live ! Jesus never said I wouldn't struggle in life or had issues that after my wife passed away my only son was murdered in 2012 I couldn't have gone through that if I had not turned back to Jesus because he was with me through it all! I HOPE THAT whoever reads this and has someone struggling with drugs or alcohol don't stop praying for him because he can change anything and anybody who is willing and receptive. Like revelation 3:20 says he stands at the door of our heart and if we open our heart he will come in Jeremiah 29:11 SAYS HE knows the plans he has for us plans to prosper not harm us and a better future (emphasis mine) proverbs 28:13 points to the strength of confession! but we must repent and confess our sins and Jesus will restore us ! So I hope and pray my testimony of how Jesus transformed my life through trials and tribulations, that it will give someone faith in Jesus that he can do the same for you !!!!!
