GIVING IS PART OF HEALING.
Many people today are battling incurable diseases. Some have suffered with cancer, sickle cell anemia, HIV/AIDS, and other painful illnesses for many years. If you ask them about their deepest desire, many will simply say, “I want to be healed.”
But there is an important question we should ask ourselves: Before the sickness came, did we remember Jesus? Did we use the talents God gave us to serve others? Did we show love to the needy?
Giving is part of spreading the Gospel. In the book of Malachi, God says we should bring food into His storehouse. True Christianity is not only about speaking or going to church — it is also about action, compassion, and helping those in need.
If you cannot help the needy when you have the opportunity, then your worship may be empty before God. Giving does not mean you must be rich. Even the poor can give something — love, prayer, food, encouragement, or support.
A true follower of Jesus Christ should practice giving, kindness, and mercy instead of judging others. God looks at the heart that is willing to help.
May we become Christians who do not only preach love but also live it every day.
