Hello, I would like to share with you the message from 23 May 2026 from “The Good Seed” daily calendar.

But even after we had suffered before and were spitefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in much conflict. (1 Thessalonians 2:2)

The gospel
The term “gospel” appears frequently in the Bible, meaning “good news”. However, often a word is added to this term to highlight a specific aspect of the gospel.
 – In our Bible text, we talk about the gospel of God. This reminds us of the originator of the gospel. It is not a message that people have invented. No, it comes from “God our Saviour, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:3-4).
 – In 2 Corinthians 10:14, the Apostle Paul speaks of the gospel of Christ. Here, it is about the content of this good news. It is a person: the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. His birth, life, death, resurrection, and ascension are the cornerstones of the gospel.
 – In Acts 20:24, it is called the gospel of the grace of God. This term points to the character of the message. We do not and can not earn a place in heaven. We are saved only by grace and through faith in the Lord Jesus.
Everyone who accepts this good news in faith receives forgiveness of sins. He becomes a child of God, connected with the Lord Jesus in heaven, and can await a glorious future with Him. Isn’t the gospel a wonderful gift from God to us?

Today’s reading: Jeremiah 50:1-28 – Romans 14:13-23
