Kingdom Carriers | More Than a Transaction

Recently, while out preparing for an upcoming winter trip, I stopped to look for a few things and ended up in conversation with a young man helping me at a store.

What began as ordinary small talk gradually moved into deeper things, work, faith, writing, and purpose.

At one point, while entering my details into the system, he paused and laughed:

"We have the same name."

The conversation continued.

He shared that he was a Christian, asked questions about my writing, and wanted to know more about the season I was in.

Later, I felt prompted to return with copies of Kingdom Carriers, Hope Rising, and Your Moment to Lead.

What stayed with me afterwards wasn’t the giving of books.

It was his countenance.

Something seemed to shift.

Not dramatically — just quietly.

A sense of encouragement.
Perhaps confirmation.
Perhaps simply a reminder that God sees us in the seasons we are walking through.

Before parting, he asked if we could stay in touch.

Moments like these remind me that not every meaningful encounter is planned.

Sometimes heaven gently interrupts ordinary days.

All glory and honour belong to Him.

Grace and peace,
Jacob
