Good morning, MY BEAUTIFUL FAMILY..food for thought from Godâs word
TAKE THE TRASH OUT
âAll things are lawful for me,âbut not all things are helpful. âAll things are lawful for me,â but I will not be dominated by anything.
1Corinthians 6:12 ESV
We all need the trash taken out in our homes. If it gets ignored long enough, the smell begins to spread, the atmosphere changes, and what was once clean becomes unhealthy. The same can happen spiritually.
Paul is reminding us here that not everything is beneficial. Some things may not seem sinful at first, but they slowly clutter the heart, weaken spiritual strength, and dull the sensitivity to Godâs voice. Bitterness, jealousy, lust, pride, gossip, compromise, and unforgiveness are forms of spiritual trash that cannot be allowed to remain.
You see we want peace while still holding on to garbage that pollutes our soul. God calls us to examine our lives honestly. What attitudes need to be removed? What habits are keeping us from growing? What conversations, influences, or hidden sins have piled up in the corners of the heart?
The Holy Spirit does not revel these things to shame us, but to clean us. Jesus specializes in restoring what has become polluted. You see when we confess and surrender these things to Him, He makes room for fresh joy, peace, and spiritual power.
Sometimes revival begins with something simple:
TAKING THE TRASH OUT
Do not let yesterdayâs garbage remain in todayâs heart. Bring it to the Lord and let Him cleanse you completely.
Father God, search our heart and show us anything that does not belong in our life. Remove bitterness, compromise, pride, and anything that keeps us from walking closely with You. Cleanse us and renew our spirit today.
In Jesusâ name, Amen!
