A MEMORIAL DAY REMEMBRANCE…. May 25, 2026

Every year, across the towns and cities of our nation, a solemn quiet falls over cemeteries and town squares. We gather to perform a duty that is both a heavy privilege and a profound obligation: to recognize and honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. These individuals were not abstract historical figures or nameless faces in textbook statistics. They were neighbors, friends, spouses, parents, sons, and daughters. They left behind their homes, their dreams, and the comfort of civilian life to stand between our nation and its greatest perils.
The freedom we enjoy today is not a natural guarantee. It was bought and paid for by ordinary citizens who possessed extraordinary courage. From the freezing mud of Valley Forge to the dense jungles of Vietnam, and through the modern deserts of the Middle East, generations of American service members answered the call of duty. They fought to defend a simple but radical idea: that a free people should have the right to govern themselves, speak their minds, and live without fear. When the cost of defending that idea required their lives, they paid it willingly.
Honoring their memory requires more than just bowing our heads on a holiday or flying a flag from our porches, though those gestures matter deeply. True recognition means carrying the weight of their sacrifice in our daily lives. It means striving to be a society worthy of the lives given to preserve it. We honor them when we protect the democratic institutions they defended, when we look out for our neighbors, and when we teach the next generation that liberty is a precious, fragile gift.
As we stand before the monuments and the long, quiet rows of white headstones, we are reminded that our freedom is a living legacy. We owe these fallen heroes a debt we can never fully repay. By remembering their names, sharing their stories, and treasuring the liberty they secured, we ensure that their sacrifice will never be in vain. Those reading this who have lost family members who served our country may God bless you as you remember them this Memorial Day. They will never be forgotten!

TODAY’S PRAYER: Almighty God, on this Memorial Day, we lift up our hearts in profound gratitude for the brave men and women who gave their lives for America. May the memory of their devotion remain forever etched in our hearts, inspiring us to guard the liberty they died to protect and to never take our peace for granted." From the battlefields of our past to the modern day, their legacy stands as a shining beacon of what it means to serve a cause greater than oneself. "We honor their courage, their selflessness, and the ultimate sacrifice they made to preserve our freedom.
Please grant comfort to the families who still carry the grief of their loss. May we never take our liberty for granted, and always live in a way that honors their legacy. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

A MEMORIAL DAY DEVOTION: May 25, 2026…

BUILDING A STRONG AND UNIFIED NATION…

Proverbs 14:34 reminds us that "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people." True greatness for any country isn't found in its military might, economic wealth, or political power. Instead, it is built on a foundation of moral integrity, justice, and truth. It is this shared moral fiber that truly binds diverse people together, ensuring that fairness and freedom can flourish for generations to come."
When a nation honors God by pursuing what is right and looking out for one another, it rises. In these moments of shared purpose, divisions fade, communities grow stronger, and a spirit of genuine compassion transforms the very heart of the country." Just look back at World War II. Many historians agree that at that time America was the most unified in all of its 250 year history. But when greed and selfishness take over, it breaks down from within.
Righteousness starts with us. Before it can shape the laws of a land or the direction of a government, it must first take root in our own hearts through a humble commitment to follow God’s truth. Today, let’s choose honesty, kindness, and justice in our own lives, humbly praying for our leaders and helping to build a stronger, more united community and nation from the inside out, guided by God's enduring grace.
For God’s Word says….
Psalm 86:9….."All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name."
Psalm 22:27….."All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him."
Revelation 15:4….."Who will not fear you, Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed."
Psalm 47:7–8….."For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise. God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne."
