#Day9 Series on the Coming Down of the Holy Spirit THE SAME SPIRIT, MANIFESTATIONS "All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines." — 1 Corinthians 12:8-11 Spiritual gifts come from the Holy Spirit. Each gift and manifestation has a specific function. Gifts are not given through merit, but by pure grace. A gift is not proof of a person's greatness. It is proof of the grace of a God who walks and acts among His people through human vessels. Therefore, it should not become a source of pride or competition. The Holy Spirit is alive, rich in grace, and active. He distributes the gifts of: 1. The word of wisdom, 2. The word of knowledge, 3. Faith, 4. Healings, 5. The working of miracles, 6. Prophecy, 7. Discernment, 8. Speaking in tongues, 9. Interpretation of tongues. Behind every authentic manifestation, the same Spirit is at work. Do not try to imitate the gifts of others. Rather, seek to remain available to the Holy Spirit so that He may use you to edify others. For God does not ask you to be spectacular, but faithful. Keep these two things in mind: 1. A gift without love becomes noise. 2. A gift led by the Spirit becomes a blessing. Make yourself available to the Holy Spirit, be sensitive to His voice, and faithful in what He wants to accomplish through your life.
