Daily Bible Lesson.
JEREMIAH FOR THE LAST DAYS, WHEN GOD’S PEOPLE HEAR WARNING, BUT REFUSE TO RETURN.

Jeremiah is not the cry of a prophet who enjoyed rebuking people.
It is the weeping message of a man who saw God’s people with temple worship, priests, prophets, sacred forms, and religious confidence—yet still walking away from God.

“Return, thou backsliding Israel… for I am merciful, saith the LORD.”
— Jeremiah 3:12 KJV

Jeremiah is warning us:

You can have religion in your mouth—
while your heart is still far from God.

The last generation is surrounded by spiritual backsliding, false peace, worldliness, hidden sin, stubborn hearts, and empty profession.

But Jeremiah stands like a weeping trumpet before judgment falls:

RETURN BEFORE THE WARNING YOU IGNORE BECOMES THE JUDGMENT YOU CANNOT ESCAPE.
---

1. RELIGION WITHOUT CONVERSION IS EMPTY
A church name. A worship service. A sacred message. A public profession.
But a rebellious heart.

“Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD.”
— Jeremiah 7:4 KJV

God is not fooled by religious appearance.
He is calling for changed lives.
---

2. BACKSLIDING MUST BE CONFESSED, NOT COVERED
Not excused. Not minimized. Not blamed on others.
Confessed.

“Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God.”
— Jeremiah 3:13 KJV

A sin covered stays powerful.
A sin confessed stands at mercy’s door.
---

3. FALSE PEACE IS DEADLY
Smooth words. Soft sermons. Comfortable lies. “Everything is fine.”
But the wound remains.

“Peace, peace; when there is no peace.”
— Jeremiah 6:14 KJV

The most dangerous message is not the one that makes you tremble—
but the one that lets you sleep in sin.
---

4. BROKEN CISTERNS CANNOT SATISFY THE SOUL
Pleasure. Money. Fame. Entertainment. Human approval.
All broken cisterns.

“They have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns.”
— Jeremiah 2:13 KJV

Sin promises water—
but leaves the soul dying of thirst.

Only God can satisfy what the world keeps emptying.
---

5. THE HEART IS DECEITFUL—DO NOT TRUST YOURSELF
Feelings can lie. Desire can blind. Pride can excuse.
The heart can defend what God condemns.

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
— Jeremiah 17:9 KJV

Do not ask only, “What do I feel?”
Ask, “What does God say?”
---

6. GOD’S WORD MUST BURN, NOT JUST INFORM
Not cold theory. Not borrowed sermons. Not dead information.
Fire.

“His word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones.”
— Jeremiah 20:9 KJV

A last-day message must not be carried like decoration—
but like fire in the soul.
---

7. GOD STILL OFFERS HEALING TO THE BACKSLIDER
Judgment is real, but mercy is still calling.
God exposes to restore.

“Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings.”
— Jeremiah 3:22 KJV

God does not only forgive rebels—
He rewrites hearts.

“I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts.”
— Jeremiah 31:33 KJV
---

8. REJECTED WARNING ENDS IN RUIN
Jeremiah warned. The people mocked. Leaders resisted. The nation delayed.
Then Babylon came.

“This evil people, which refuse to hear my words… shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.”
— Jeremiah 13:10 KJV

Mercy rejected does not remain mercy forever.
---

9. GOD’S PEOPLE MUST COME OUT OF BABYLON
False worship must be forsaken. Confusion must be left. Compromise must be broken.

“Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul.”
— Jeremiah 51:6 KJV

“Come out of her, my people.”
— Revelation 18:4 KJV

You cannot be delivered from Babylon
while your heart still loves Babylon.
---

10. GOD PROMISES HOPE TO THOSE WHO SEEK HIM FULLY
Not half-hearted. Not casual. Not only in crisis.
With all the heart.

“Ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
— Jeremiah 29:13 KJV

Half-hearted religion will never find whole-hearted revival.
---

Jeremiah and Revelation preach one warning:
Return to God. Reject false peace. Leave Babylon. Seek Him with all your heart. Judgment is coming.
