When Life Gets Tough.

God never promised that if you give your heart to Him, your life will be a bed of roses and the sun will always shine. However, He does promise to be with you through every storm. Joshua 1:5 says, “I will never leave you or forsake you,” and that’s a promise you can claim! It’s easy to have faith in the good times - but not so easy when life gets tough. As a Christian, you can be sure that you’ll go through trials and tribulations. Sometimes you may be so stressed from the daily struggles that you experience spiritual apathy, doubt, and discouragement. You might even suffer persecution that will shake your faith to the core. You can be sure the enemy will use every tool at his disposal to separate you from God, the only one who can save you. He doesn’t care how he does it, just so he wins! So when life deals you an extra hard blow, don’t blame God! Trust Him! He will never allow you to go through more than you can stand, although there may be times you feel like saying, “You’re really pushing it this time, Lord!” No matter what Satan throws your way, trust Jesus! Sometimes God allows the trials to test just how strong your commitment to Him is, or it may be to strengthen your character. Whatever the reason, you can always count on God’s love for you and that He knows what’s best. Leaning on Jesus will provide an infinite source of support, power, courage, and wisdom in every situation. Think about this: if everything was easy, there would be no need for a Savior. So when life gets tough, escape the devil’s discouragement trap and persevere in prayer and study of God’s Holy Word, and you’ll find peace, joy, and confidence to make it through each day!
