Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

Pop quiz. Yeah, I know you love these … haha. Only one question. I have faith in you. 1. 2. 3. ……..

What color is Jesus?

While you ponder that question, because it can be a little bigger than the surface question, I will share a snippet of yesterday.

Long drive for no appointment because the scheduling company was uninformed. Good meet up with my mommy and her appointment. Picked up posters for the benefit. Was dismissed by an agency, which is probably overwhelmed, however … phone tag is our game right now, so I thought … in the area … stop and fix it … nope … no time for you. Beautiful day with gorgeous brilliance all around. Favorite dinner with the littles last night. Solid night's sleep.

Now … back to my question … What color is Jesus?

As simple as this question is, the human race has complicated it. Created fights over it. Quit speaking to people over it. However, the bible is quite clear on the color of Jesus, God’s manifested human son … So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. – Genesis 1:27

Pretty simple if you ask me. I am white … so He is White. Denzel Washington is black, so He is black. Jackie Chan is oriental, so he is yellow. Fluffy the comedian is light brown, so he is light brown. We are made in His image; therefore, His image is who/what our image is … physically. Would it not make sense that He would manifest Himsel/ in a familiar skin tone for each of us?

Why this question? I was surfing through Amazon looking for something when I ran across the little Jesus’ in different ethnic colors and thought what a great giveaway for all kids and adults. To break the barriers that we, as a society, have created.

Now I could be all wet. And if you think about where He was born, he is more than likely Middle Eastern tan; however, pompous white men have declared Him to be white. In reality, specifically that is probably incorrect; however, I can hypothesize that when Jesus manifests himself in my path, he will manifest in a skin tone that I would be familiar with and recognize.

A final note … This is not meant to be controversial; this is to make you think about how man has been manipulated into believing something so simple. From the time I was little, the majority of the pictures of Jesus have been made as a white-toned man. I am thinking that may not necessarily be the case … exactly. I am thinking that He is and did make us in His image … so His image, though the same in Love, may manifest in different skin tones. Something to think about.

Be blessed.
