Daily Bread Fellowship — Friday Encouragement

“Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.” — Psalm 29:2

As another week draws toward its conclusion, our hearts should begin turning toward the greatest privilege we have as believers—the worship of our Almighty and most Holy Heavenly Father.

Throughout this week, the Lord has faithfully sustained us. He has provided for our needs, protected us from dangers seen and unseen, strengthened us through challenges, and surrounded us with His mercy and grace. Even when we were not fully aware of His hand at work, He remained faithful.

As Friday unfolds, let us begin preparing our hearts for worship. True worship is more than attending a service. It is coming before God with humility, gratitude, reverence, and love. It is recognizing who He is—the Creator of all things, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, and our loving Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ.

Take time today to quiet your heart. Lay aside the distractions, worries, and burdens of this world. Reflect upon God’s goodness. Consider His faithfulness. Thank Him for His blessings. Prepare your spirit to meet with Him in worship.

No earthly privilege compares to the honor of approaching the throne of grace and lifting our hearts in praise to the One who has redeemed us through His Son.

May this weekend find us drawing closer to God, delighting in His presence, and worshiping Him with sincere and thankful hearts.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness throughout this week. Prepare our hearts for worship and help us to come before You with reverence, gratitude, and joy. Remove distractions from our minds and fill us with a deeper love for You. May our worship bring glory to Your holy name and draw us closer to You through our Lord Jesus Christ. In His precious name we pray, Amen.
