Thought of the Day: Often we relegate many things that need to be addressed to Prayer. If prayer is communication with God yes, of course, if it's a ritual then no. We are told to pray without ceasing. But some things don't need to be prayed "about". Meaning that some things are already spelled out for us in the Word and are not really up for discussion or dissent. Other things we are commanded to handle ourselves with the authority already given to us explicitly by Jesus Christ Himself. Other problems we are to speak to, like in speak to the Mountain, not pray about the mountain. I am sure there are already many ways described in the scriptures that tell us how to handle our problems, wonderings, issues, and life challenges. A lot of times prayer can be a cop out of not addressing things. The first mandate from God was for human kind to dominate the earth, in other words, handle it, fix it, manage it. Scritpure tells us that we already have everything that pertains to godliness and what we need. It's a matter of applying it, daily, every minute, every hour. That's the challenge.
