Dear brothers and sisters, I would like to share with you something I experienced yesterday. I posted a worship video on the Christian social media website, Lordsbook, and while I was worshiping to that song, I was directed by the Holy Spirit to post another specific video. I began to be drawn deeper into worship before being directed to share other specific Gospel songs. Then scripture began coming to my mind which I also began to share. The presence of the Holy Spirit became stronger and stronger until I was weeping. At a certain point I felt an ache and a longing for the Holy Spirit. I needed to find a scripture that described how I felt. I didn't know what scripture it would be, but I searched Google with the words, "Create a burning passionate love for You in me, O God." The AI suggested a few different verses and I began to read them. When I read the following verse it struck me deep within and spoke to the longing ache I felt for more of the Lord: Set me as a seal upon your heart, As a seal upon your arm; For love is as strong as death, Jealousy as cruel as the grave; Its flames are flames of fire, A most vehement flame. Many waters cannot quench love, Nor can the floods drown it. If a man would give for love All the wealth of his house, It would be utterly despised. - Song of Solomon 8:6-7 When I began to read "Many waters cannot quench love" I began to weep. That verse expressed exactly what I felt. It spoke to my very soul. I will be honest with you, brothers and sisters. I have only read Song of Solomon once many years ago and it wasn't the New King James Version translation. This was basically my first time reading that verse. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever read. It speaks of a love that comes from deep inside of your being. It is the indescribable love someone feels for the Lord, the kind of love that can only come from above. It is felt because the Lord Jesus Christ plants it deep within someone's heart. It is the type of love that cannot be satisfied by anything or anyone other than God Himself. Just to even be aware of this existing is a blessing beyond any measure on earth. This verse speaks of a rich man trying to buy what he can never have, of being desperate enough to hand over all his wealth but it meaning nothing. There are men in this world who think they can and who try to buy love from a woman. It is impossible. Now imagine trying to buy the love of God. Just understanding the Lord being real and the understanding of the Gospel being the truth, that is something beyond the value of all the riches of the earth put together. To know, to understand, to feel, intimately, the love of God, cannot be bought. It cannot be faked. Having intimacy with the Lord God Almighty is more valuable than all the blessings I have ever received in my entire life. Understanding the meaning of this is a great mercy from above. A wealthy man with all his power on the earth cannot come near the Lord's love unless the Lord draws him. There are so many people walking in darkness who don't even understand what real love is. They have a gaping void inside of their hearts which they try to fill with all the pleasures of life and lusts of the flesh. Only the Lord God Almighty can fill that void and make a man whole. Now I finally understand as I am writing this what eternity being placed in the hearts of men means. I love you so much family, because God Himself put that love there. May we really begin to understand the love of God and just how deeply our hearts were created to love one another ❤️
