The Advent Truth.
One of the most sobering truths in all of Scripture is that mercy has an appointed close. Right now, Jesus is still interceding for humanity in the heavenly sanctuary. Right now, forgiveness is still offered. Right now, the door of mercy is still open. But the Bible warns that a moment is coming when Christ will finish His work in Heaven’s Most Holy Place… and probation will close forever.

Revelation 22:11 declares:

“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.”

That verse is terrifying because it shows a permanent settling of every case. Human destiny becomes fixed. No more changing sides. No more last-minute repentance. No more prayers for forgiveness from hearts that spent a lifetime resisting conviction.

When Jesus rises and declares the work finished, every person on earth will already have made their final decision. The righteous will have received the seal of God. The wicked will have fully united themselves with rebellion. Character will be forever established.

This is why the Bible repeatedly says, “Today if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts.” (Hebrews 3:15)

Many people assume they can wait until the last second to surrender to God. But Scripture never teaches that. The same heart that rejects conviction today will become harder tomorrow. Sin never stands still. It either grows weaker through surrender to Christ or stronger through continual resistance.

Daniel 12:1 describes a time of trouble unlike anything the world has ever seen. But before that happens, something else occurs: “Michael shall stand up.” Christ ceases His priestly ministry and the world enters its final crisis without an intercessor for sin.

Imagine living in a world where mercy has ended, yet most people do not even realize it.

The tragedy is that millions are distracted by entertainment, politics, money, pleasure, worldly Christianity, and endless compromise while Heaven is preparing to conclude the great controversy.

But the good news is this: probation has not closed yet.

Jesus is still calling.
Still pleading.
Still forgiving.
Still cleansing.
Still saving to the uttermost those who come to Him.

But one day soon, the final prayer will be prayed. The final confession will be made. The final decision will be sealed.

And after that… eternity begins.

“Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.” — Isaiah 55:6
