OUR DEVOTIONAL MEDITATION

BIBLE TEXT: JOHN 15:1-5
1. I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
2. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.
3. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
4. Remain in Me, and I in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself but must remain in the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me.
5. I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing

Matthew 7:21-22
21. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

TOPIC:
IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO KNOW OR SERVE GOD, WE MUST MAINTAIN OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.

THE INTRODUCTION:
Life is full of ups and downs—moments of joy, seasons of hardship, times of clarity, and periods of confusion. Yet through it all, one thing must remain constant: our relationship with God. Just like any meaningful relationship, it requires commitment, communication, and consistency.

The challenge is not starting with God, but staying with Him no matter what life brings....

I. WE HAVE TO STAY ROOTED IN GOD'S WORD.
Scripture is our foundation and guide.
When circumstances change, God’s Word remains the same. Regular reading and meditation strengthen our spiritual stability.
Psalm 119:105 says...Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

II. WE HAVE TO MAINTAIN A CONSISTENT PRAYER LIFE
Prayer is communication with God, not just a ritual.
In good times or bad times, keep talking to God.
Honest, continual prayer deepens intimacy with Him.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 says....Pray without ceasing

Ill. LET'S KEEP TRUSTING GOD IN EVERY SEASON.
Faith is tested during difficult times.
Trusting God means relying on His plan even when we don’t understand.
God’s faithfulness does not depend on our situation.
Proverbs 3:5–6...Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight

IV. CONTINUE TO GUARD YOUR HEART AND MIND.
External influences can weaken our relationship with God.
Be mindful of what you allow into your life (thoughts, media, relationships).
Stay focused on things that draw you closer to God. Proverbs 4:23.... Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life

V. LET'S STAY CONNECTED TO FELLOWSHIP
We are not meant to walk alone.
Fellowship with other believers provides encouragement and accountability.
Community helps us remain strong when we feel weak.
Hebrews 10:25... Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION:
Maintaining a relationship with God requires intensional support
Stay grounded in His Word
Keep a consistent prayer life
Trust Him in all seasons
Guard your heart and mind
Remain connected to fellow believers
These practices help us remain steady and faithful, regardless of life’s circumstances.

No matter what you face—success or struggle, clarity or confusion—your relationship with God must remain your priority. God is constant, faithful, and always near. When we choose to stay connected to Him, we find strength, peace, and direction. Hold on to God, and He will hold on to you.
