Footprints of Light

I saw a vision of Jesus walking across a dark city.

The city was covered in darkness, representing places where people are living without hope, truth, or the awareness of God’s presence. Yet Jesus was not intimidated by the darkness. He walked confidently through it, and everywhere His feet touched the ground, a footprint of light remained.

The darkness could not extinguish it.

Immediately I was reminded of the words of Jesus:

“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

The footprints of light revealed something beautiful. Every place Jesus touches is forever changed. His presence brings revelation, healing, freedom, and life. What was once hidden becomes visible. What was dead begins to awaken. What was bound begins to be set free.

But there was also an invitation in the vision.

As followers of Christ, we are called to walk where He walks and follow in His footsteps. The light left behind by Jesus becomes a pathway for others to find their way out of darkness. His light does not stop with us; it shines through us.

I sensed the Lord saying:

“Do not focus on the darkness surrounding you. Fix your eyes on Me. My light is greater than the darkness. I am walking through cities, communities, homes, and hearts, marking them with My presence. What seems dark and hopeless today will not remain so, for wherever I step, My light remains. Follow Me, and I will make you a carrier of that same light. The darkness will not overcome what I am illuminating.”

This vision also echoes the words of Psalm 119:105:

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

Jesus is illuminating a path through the darkness, one step at a time. The footprints of light are an invitation to follow Him closely, trust His leading, and believe that He is bringing His presence into even the darkest places.

The darkness will not have the final word.

The Light has already walked there.
