God,

We thank You for the Bible, where such as this is recorded. But without it, and even with it, many of us worry about the fullness of our repentance. Were these words made as apparent to those of Tyre or Sidon, many would pale comparatively to their repentance. For we are all born into the failure of sin and the flesh, yet many fail to see sin crouching at the door, waiting.

I thank You LORD for opening my eyes, as I pray in Jesus' name to overcome my sin and its temptations.
