SUNDAY
GOD'S WORD FOR THE DAY
“The Folly of Self-Reliance”
Psalm 10:3
“For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire; he blesses the greedy and renounces the Lord.”
This is the Word of God. Psalm 10:3 describes the danger of a heart that delights in its own desires while turning away from God. The wicked boast in what they can gain and honor selfish ambition rather than righteousness. Such pride leads people to trust themselves instead of the Lord.
Our world often celebrates success, wealth, and personal achievement, but true security is found in God alone. A life centered on Him values integrity over greed and humility over self-glory.
May God keep our hearts from selfish pride and teach us to delight in His will above our own desires. Amen.
Have a blessed day with the Lord.
