Do You Trust Me?

Praise God! I think I’ve turned the corner now. I recently had hip replacement surgery and knew I’d have a long road to recovery. In contemplating this second surgery (I had my right hip replaced a couple of years ago), I thought of all the potential issues that could arise. I thought about the pain I went through during my first hip surgery. Would this one be as painful? I thought about the possibility of pneumonia from lying in bed too much or not taking enough deep breaths. I even considered that I might not even awaken from the anesthesia! But in the midst of my musings, the Holy Spirit, as He has so many times before, whispered into my spirit the all-important question, Do you trust Me?

Shortly after that, He reminded me of Isaiah 41:10, which says: “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” How beautiful is that? First, God is telling me not to be afraid, for He is with me! The Almighty God is with me! I don’t need to be scared of anything because He is my God! If that’s not reassuring, then nothing is! I don’t need to fear or worry because the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe is my God.

Besides that, He promises to strengthen and help me! What a beautiful promise. After surgery, we need strength and support to meet the challenges we face, and God has promised to help with that. He uses others to offer us help and aid. The kindness and love shown to me by my husband, children, and 3ABN family was reflective of the Savior’s love and care. It is He who gives us power when we’re weak and can’t move forward. The Lord is right there, imparting strength and help to us just when we need it!

This promise is for you, as well! Whatever you’re going through, Jesus wants to know if you trust Him to bring you through it. He wants you to know that He is your God. No other can accomplish what He can. He wants you to understand that He will give you everything you need to meet the challenges and concerns in your situation. He is God. He is your God. He will strengthen you; yes, He will help you; yes, He will hold you up with His righteous

right hand. What a powerful, loving God we serve!

So, He is asking you right now: Do you trust Me?
