MONDAY
GOD'S WORD FOR THE DAY
“Empowered for God's Calling”
1 Samuel 10:6
“Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man.”
This is the Word of God. As Saul prepared to become Israel's first king, God did not leave him to depend on his own abilities. Instead, the Lord promised that His Spirit would come upon Saul and transform him for the task ahead. This reminds us that God's calling is always accompanied by God's enabling.
Many people face responsibilities feeling inadequate or afraid, relying only on their own strength. Yet the Christian life is not meant to be lived through human effort alone. God equips those He calls, giving wisdom, courage, and strength through His Spirit to accomplish His purposes.
May we never trust merely in our own abilities, but depend daily on the Spirit of God, who transforms and empowers us for His service. Amen.
